[link]It was surprising he would pass just days before the anniversary of the first Apollo mission, but I guess at 92-years-old it was only a matter of time. He was with this country's during the most turbulent times in modern history, he broke the news of the assassination of JFK, he stayed on all night long to bring us the news of moon landing. He could be described as the definition of honorable and accurate reporting. You will be remembered Mr. Cronkite.
As a side note, I think he was a FAR more important historical figure than Michael Jackson. I don't care, I'm going to say this outright. It's a shame his death may receive little attention.
